FUEL for Christian Educators

Fueling faith, purpose, and practice for Christian educators working in public schools.

Teaching can feel isolating when you are one of few Christians in your school community. Many educators desire to live out their faith in meaningful ways but find it difficult to connect biblical truth to the everyday realities of teaching, leadership, and serving students.

FUEL for Christian Educators offers practical conversations designed to strengthen your skills as an educator while helping you thoughtfully consider how your faith shapes your daily work. Through multiple short episodes each week, relevant topics in education are explored through a biblical lens, offering encouragement, perspective, and practical next steps.

To encourage deeper reflection, weekly small-group discussion questions are provided to help you and your colleagues gather, discuss, and grow together as you consider the themes explored throughout the week’s episodes.

These are not Bible studies—they are practical conversations for educators who want to faithfully commit their work to the Lord and follow His guidance each day.

To support deeper reflection, weekly small-group discussion questions are provided to accompany the week’s topic, giving you and your colleagues an opportunity to gather, talk, and grow together as you reflect.

Discussion Questions (Week 1; Episodes on Finding your Purpose; Building a Community; Comit Your Teaching to the Lord)

  1. How does understanding your God-given purpose change the way you approach ordinary moments in your work, especially during difficult or unnoticed seasons?
  2. What challenges make it difficult to live out your faith in community with other believers, and what intentional steps can help build stronger Christian encouragement in your workplace?
  3. What are some small ways that you commit your work to God each day?
  4. In what ways might purpose and Christian community strengthen one another—how does being surrounded by like-minded believers help you stay faithful to what God has called you to do? (If you are just building Christian community now, talk about ways you HOPE Christian community might help you stay faithful.)

Discussion Questions (Week 2; Episodes on Separation of Church and State; Legal Cans and Cannots; When a Student Asks)

  1. How has separation of Church and State played out in our school this year?
  2. Have you had students ask questions about faith, values, or difficult life issues? How have you responded in ways that are both compassionate and appropriate within your role?
  3. What does it look like to create a classroom presence marked by Christlike character—even when explicit faith conversations are limited?
